BP West Nile Delta (Taurus-Libra)

We worked as pipeline engineering subcontractor for BP's EPCI contractor Subsea7. The project was based offshore Egypt in the Mediterranean Sea. This deep water High Temperature High Pressure (HPHT) project was located in 500-700 m water depth and involved design and engineering of production flowlines, Mono-Ethylene Glycol (MEG) Line, Gas Export Pipeline and rigid spools.

BP West Nile Delta (GFR)

After successfully completing first part of BP West Nile Delta (Taurus-Libra) Project, we were invited to engineer the second part, Giza Fayoum and Raven, which was even more challenging, with tighter deadline. The field was adjacent to the Taurus-Libra field in approximately 600 m maximum water depth. In addition to the deep water, shallow shore approach design was another major challenge as a result of shifting seabed. The project involved design and engineering of production flowlines, gas export pipelines, MEG pipeline and vertical and horizontal rigid spools. The major challenge faced in this project was the design of the 6" HPHT pipeline against upheaval buckling as a result very soft seabed. Another challenge was the design of the pipeline crossing the steep Rosetta Channel.

Subsea Pipeline Project

BP, Block 31 GES Project

This was another successful deep water High pressure High Temperature, deep water project located offshore Angola in west Africa in 1800 m water depth. The project involved Gas Export System comprising of 57 km long Gas Export Pipeline and three rigid jumpers employing Cameron  Horizontal Connectors.

Tullow Oil, TEN Project

This was another successful dep water High pressure High Temperature deep water project located offshore Ghana  in West Africa in water depth ranging between1400 m-2400 m. The project involved oil production pipelines,  gas export pipeline and associated gas production flowline. The major challenge was to keep the fluid above a certian stipluated arrival temperature. Therefore, a very low 'U' value ITP Pipe-in-Pipe pipeline system was used for the production flowlines and single pipe system was used for the gas export pipeline,

Onshore Pipeline Project

Fenog Nigeria Limited, Crude Oil Pipeline

The project involved approximately 20 km long 10-12" diameter crude oil pipeline which was laid by Horizontal Direction Drilling (HDD) throughout its length, thus making it longest pipeline in the world laid by HDD method. The project was located in Warri Delta State of Nigeria which is infested by vandalism of the pipelines for pilferage of oil. To protect the pipeline from vandalism, the pipeline had to remain approximately 20 m under the land surface, therefore the requirement of HDD throughout. For sectionalizing the line, manned Valve stations were installed along its route every 4km where the pipeline came on the surface.

We performed Hydraulic and Mechanical Design of the pipeline system.

Eon Ruhrgas Northsea Limited, Huntington Field Development Project

The project involved approximately 12  km long 18" diameter LPG pipeline. which was laid in flood prone area of Bangladesh delta region.
