Spectrum-Corrosion
Spectrum Pipelines – Corrosion is used to perform an internal corrosion assessment resulting from the presence of CO₂ and H₂S in the pipelines. This module also has built in wall shear stress and pH calculation utility in conjunction with the Spectrum-Flow Assurance module in case the values of pH and wall shear stress are not available. This modules covers both, Point Model and Global Model. While Point model can be used to perform corrosion assessment at one point in the pipeline, Global model can be used to calculate corrosion rate at each point along the pipeline. Corrosion profile plots can be also generated. Options are available to calculate corrosion based on NORSOK M-506 and De Waard and Milliam’s 93/95 model with the modifications necessary to consider the effect of presence of H₂S.
This module also has a built-in O2 corrosion assessment utility for calculating pipeline corrosion due to the presence of oxygen in water injection pipelines. The variation of concentration of oxygen along the pipeline length is also calculated and taken into account in oxygen corrosion calculations.
